We have been able so far to offer the use of the websites & App for free thanks to the lovely entertainers and shops that advertise with us. As you can imagine though they have been out of work, and most with no help from the government. We have been tying to work with our advertisers by offering free months and payment plans.
In these unpresidented times we have been able to keep it going so far but this is now going on longer than anyone expected, and money that we had in the advertising account has now run out.
If you are able to donate to the running of the website and app your help will be much appreciated. If you can not then please do not put yourself under any financial strain, just keep supporting us and staying safe.
It costs over £100.00 a month to run and our time is all given for free.
A warm welcome to Love of the Vintage from Marie and Pete.
We have a love of all things Vintage, this site is dedicated to all things 20s, 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s. You may notice that 40s is missing from that list, that's because there is a dedicated sister site for everything 40s at www.loveofthe40s.co.uk
Please have a look around the site, we source as many vintage events as we can find and add them to the EVENTS page. If you are looking to be entertained why not have a look in the ENTERTAINERS section. Need something new for your wardrobe or home then check out our SHOPS AND SERVICES section.
You can follow everything that's happening on our Social Media sites! See the links above for our Pages, you can also join us on the Facebook group Vintage Events and Social Space
An appeal has been set up to raise the funds needed to commission a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire, England, to honor those men and women of the show business profession that did so much to keep the morale of the nation high during World War 2 at home and on the front line as part of ENSA, stars in Battledress, RAF Gang Shows and similar organisations.
To find out more you can join the Facebook Group ENSA Memorial Appeal.
